Kerala Automobiles Limited (KAL) incorporated in 1978 as a Government of Kerala undertaking, having 100 % Government of Kerala investment has set up in the picturesque backdrop, 16 kilometers south of Thiruvananthapuram in a tiny village called Aralumoodu, in Neyyattinkara taluk. The Company manufactures Three Wheelers (Diesel, LPG & CNG) suitable for passengers and goods traffic in the brand name of KERALA and is considered as most Eco-friendly vehicles. The present product range comprises Front Engine Auto-rickshaw, Pickup/ Delivery Van, etc. The strong, highly motivated workforce in the Technical and Management cadres are working hand in hand for the progress of the Company. The ancillary units developed by the Company around the factory complex provide a livelihood for hundreds of families. Since the commencement of production in 1984, the Company has manufactured and marketed more than 2,00,000 Three Wheelers. KAL has distinguished itself as a force worth reckoning in the Automobile industry in India. The Company has also exported a large number of Three Wheelers to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Sudan, Botswana, Nigeria, South Africa; and Guatemala (Central America). The acceptability of KAL Three Wheelers in the Third World countries speaks for its utility and quality. KAL is also manufacturing sophisticated components to be used in aerospace applications of ISRO/ VSSC/LPSC etc. KAL is in the field of manufacture of three wheelers for the past 36 years. We have proven design Front Engine Auto-rickshaws in our product range. KAL developed its own indigenous rear engine auto-rickshaws and developed CNG/LPG vehicles. The development of BS VI vehicles are going on and is expected to be commercially launched by September 2020.
